excuse my off topic question,
when i use launch control most the time
the engine sounds exactly as these do in the video
just like a soft rpm limit,
but occasionally it gets more violent with loud banging
and popping coming from the exhaust with the odd flame
as the pops happen.
why is that?

David has the program now for the AEM, this will engage the launch controller and will control the rate of clutch engagement. Think F1 starts. On a marginal track it will hook the car up, on a sticky track it will help to keep the driveline from breaking driveline parts. Looks like too much fun...After my build is done I'll be over there with you guys.

Pete, don't worry, if you decide to keep your EVO or even build another one when you get back from your deployment, I'll be here for you.

Couple of things just to make things clear. In the video I said 26 psi on Jeff's car, at that point it was a guess because I hadn't seen the log yet. In fact all three of these cars had between 30-31 psi. Not sure why Jeff's car has that much boost just on wastegate, it's fine as that's where it's tuned but I'll need to look at it so it can be brought down if we need to.

The pass that was made at 140 mph in Jeff's car was considerably higher boost and that's what started our day of trying to get it to come down, eventually ending up just running the hose right to the wastegate.

Jeff, I didn't get your voice mail. You'll find now that you guys have my cel# that I rarely ever even carry it. I'll check it today.

Thanks.

^^True that! That's why I was taking so many runs. I don't get to play like this at the tracks around me!

I'll have to hit that track up sometime, never been there. A buddy of mine rented out quaker city on the 18th of this month and has had a few people bail on him so we might have a few spots open. If any of you guys are close and would be interested, let me know.
