Which turbo to pick and how to choose
FYI
I keep hearing the same thing boost is addicting and you get used to it quick and want more.
so if you buy a kit that is maxed out from the door you'll end up buying a bigger turbo and spending more money...

The nice thing about the 50-trim is that it fits in the same frame as several other turbochargers in both the Precision Turbo and Garrett lineup, so were you to decide you wanted to go bigger later it would be a turbo swap away in one of our kits. The 3076R is a good choice for 25psi+ but if you don't think you'll be there for a while then that's a toss up

the 2nd best thing is to talk to the people who own the setup
Iamadirtydude,
As a regular driver I have had many many personal experiences upgrading turbos. I hate turbolag, I hate hiting boost at 5500rpm-6000rpm thus I have chosen turbos in the past that I am comfortable driving everyday and that make very good power in pump gas.
You should ask yourself what type of driving do you do, if you drive in a congested big town and your daily driving is though traffic then perhaps a GT42R is a bad choice(it was an example).
You should at this point completely ignore the big number claims from people's Evos and focus on your driving style. Do you want to make good power with good spool up on pump gas, then choose something in the middle, a Green perhaps. Want to sacrifice botton power for top power and have some turbolag? then perhaps the GT35. Botton line , make your choice base on your driving, ignore the dynoqueens, they don't mean much(they make good numbers on race gas under very agresive tune), is that what you want?

I just installed a 50 Trim on my car and i love it! The 50 Trim makes a bit more power than the Green but it is a bit laggier. The powerband of a Green is more buttom end but it starts to tamper of quicker! Every turbo has its ups and downs!
ya thats why its hard to choose. for what wrx2evo said is dead on thats exactly how i am trying to determine what turbo but its still hard as **** since i have no one in my community i can check out. i know numbers are bs its the driving. all i want is more power and fun driving if possible i'd like to be able to say im over 400 but i dont care as long as i keep haulin ***
