Not the pump gas dyno record I was looking for.
how much timing difference and what would you say is holding it back? Intake temps, exhaust backpressure?
Yes, we are taking a video camera, for sure.
The car is going to the track tomorrow if it doesn't rain. I hope it's dry.
The customer cars are for sure strong, I really expected to make 600+ whp but it's just not going to do it on pump gas. The good thing is the customers can know I don't hold back when I do their cars. The other good thing is the guys around here who doubt what I say at times can see that even when I am confident that something is going to work a certain way or produce a certain number, I won't cheat, even if it's my own car. "It is what it is."
I have some other goals to get after.
BTW, we will be running the car at Norwalk when we do run it.

Some very valid points there.
Love to see a result posted that wasn't the exact goal achieved. Lot's of people just would not post any sort of "failure". Real cool of Buschur again giving us all exclusive access to what they are doing. Thanks DB.
David, if you ever need any advice on how to build an engine, I am sure lots of people will help on here!
Slorice, actually I just looked and I have the lowest timing numbers of you, Eric or Jeff. It is very odd, my timing on race gas is much higher than all three of yours. I am about 4 degrees less than you are at peak torque at 32 psi.
Something doesn't seem to be quiet right.
The weather here now is beautiful. Suppose to start raining this afternoon though.
Maybe we'll get lucky.

Anyway, all other things being equal, to me a cam and how it is degree'd will have the greatest effect on how much timing can be run IMHO. Meaning an aggressive cam will allow more air in, and then that means the air gets compressed even more, which means more cylinder pressure.
Just a thought. I know DB is on the case. I'm just making conversation.
