Not the pump gas dyno record I was looking for.

Today I put my personal EVO RS on the dyno. First time it's run any pump gas in it in over a year. We drained both sides of the tank and put 10 gallons of 93 octane in it.

Boost was set at 31 psi.

After a few pulls it ended up making 574 whp and 444 ft lbs of torque. I thought for sure it would break 600 whp on pump gas but as I say, "It is what it is."

I tried some additional boost, worked the AFR's and timing around and although I could have gotten more it wouldn't have been safe enough for my liking.

Here's the dyno sheet:

This car has everything we've got on it. Stage 3, 2 liter, standard bore, aluminum rods, Stage 3 head. BF272 cams, custom tubular header kit with HTA35r, race FMIC, AEM EMS, 1200 cc injectors, double pumper, 2.5" upper and lower i/c pipes, Driven Innovations intake manifold, 3" Hypertune TB etc., etc.

Tomorrow night, weather permitting we are going to take it out to the track just like it sits. I think 9's are possible on the 93 octane and the tune like it is.

The car has gone 9.97 at 142 mph with 542 whp so I don't see a problem although the torque on pump gas is down considerably. I guess we'll find out tomorrow.

Still great power! Congrats! You should see 9's with that set-up.

very dissapointing Dave.. J/k

HP #'s aside id like to see it go 9's.. to me that really sets the bar for other shops to compete against.. what a car makes for 1 pull on a dyno means nothing compared to how it actually runs thru 4 gears.. GOOD LUCK!!!

The problem is your customer cars are so tricked out it's tough to compete against them!

I think somehow what I typed is being mis-interpreted.

What I meant to say is Buschur customer cars are so good, that is hard for Dave to get his own personal car to be much better.

Does that clarify it?

I was referring to Dave competing against his own customer cars.

And re: "pay to play"... believe me I've paid.
