Anti Surge housing problem

Hey all,

I have a 3065 with the Anti surge housing (one with what looks like two inlets, not the holes around it) and today I noticed the inner inlet piece was pulled out past the outer. Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes, this seems to be common.

Mine completely popped off and got wedged up in my intake pipe. This was a problem with many HTA's. I sent it back to forced performance and they fixed it and sent it back to me in one day.

Thank you Forced Performance for the quick turn around.

Thank you Ivan, yes it did happen to a few covers in the first batch of these turbos prior to TiAl switching over to a different config for insert retaining.

All covers now have retaining pins that eliminate this issue, and have for many months.

Please call us and let us know you are having this problem so we can fix it for you.

BOOST ON!

When the air goes backwards thru the surge slit, it applies an outward force on the insert. The insert retaining system was insufficient on some of the first batch of covers and has since been re-designed, it even now features an externally visible retaining pin.
