thanks, pressure great more than twin, YIKES

i had asked earlier but no one answered, is the ACT lock out is related to the stock restrictor pill?
I have a stainless line on with no pill and someone said u won't have issues if pill is gone.

i have the hyper single unit and i am making a good bit more power now than i was when i purchased it about a year and a half ago. the only problem i have with the exedy single unit is the damn chatter. other than that it has been a great clutch, also have the gruppe-s lightened flywheel. i was thinking of going with the act hdss or xtss, for my next clutch due to the rating for the amount of torque it will hold, but i am still uncertain for reasons such as the lockout

i can't imagine the pedal pressure on a hyper single is any greater than an ACT. my buddy has an ACT, and he didn't even know i had a twin - he thought my twin was stock because it was that much lighter then his ACT.

also - i'm pretty sure the lockout issues have nothing to do with the stock pill. not sure who would have an aftermarket clutch and still run the stock pill - it takes like two seconds to remove.

Good point. Both the hyper single and exedy twins are pretty noisy. I could care less about clutch noise personally - but it freaks alot of people out.

Your getting a deal because no one else would buy it. And the vendor has to move stock.
I guess that would mean that we should have lots of these sitting on a shelf somewhere but I assure you that isn't the case and any distributor that actually sold our product would be able to attest to that, but feel free to spout whatever it is you feel like.

If you have a problem with ACT that's cool, I can respect that. If you had a problem with our clutch and you think that we didn't treat you fairly all I can do is apologize. Hopefully you can move on, if not life still goes on and we'll still be here.

You dont drive the way we do. My rev limiter was set at 8500rpm anything past 7700 i would get locked out unless i bang the hell out of it.

What do you do seems like everytime there is a act thread you seem to pop up out of no where. Plan and simple the vendor that sold me the clutch after i no longer buy things from him told me it was a common problem no matter how many times you adjust it they will not work right. Anything under 7600rpm your fine. Anything above that it locked out 9 out of 10 times. Unless i bang the crap out of it. He really dont care its all about sales.

I dont like your products and pretty much everyone i know states the same thing high rpm lockout.

Run a search on here and im sure this problem has been discused on here more then 10 times.

Last I checked I worked at ACT so I get paid to come on here. So pretty much any thread that involves ACT I'm going to" pop up" as you put it, just like any other paying vendor/manufacturer will when it involves their product or name so get used to it. I have no interest in dyno threads, or any other vendors threads I could care less about those. I pay to be on here solely to deal with ACT issues and provide tech support for ACT products.

I have no need to search the problems because I'm on here EVERY day.

Your dislike for ACT is well documented, and everyone you know may very well have problems too. I don't really know how many people you do know it may be 10 it may be 100 so that is all relative along with peoples opinions of themselves and what they claim to know.

Since I am on here everyday I notice that you too tend to " pop up" every time there's an ACT thread. I'm getting paid when I do, what's your excuse?

BTW, I have an ACT HDSS mated with a Fidanza lightweight flywheel, over 25k as well, drive aggressively from time to time, have NEVER adjusted the clutch pedal, and have had absolutely no lockout issues.

I guess the difference between some driving styles and mine, is that I like to enjoy my car, but I also want it to last a while.
