50Trim will spool about 400rpm before a 30R

50Trim is a better daily driver Turbo than a 30R on a Stock Block 2L.

But if your going 2.3L the 30R is better, I'm also going 2.3L thats why I chose the 30R

To be Honest - I am biased to the 50Trim because I've owned more T3-T4's than any other Turbo... (Most of them non Ball Bearing)

If you get a Good wheel Combination like the 50trim in BB format they can outspool most modern Turbo setups even twinscroll 30Rs on a 2L

From what I've read on here a BB50Trim and a 2.3L Stroker can spool almost as good as stock and make 500HP on Race... (best of both worlds)

I went 30R because it has the potential to mae more power but I'm not impressed by the spoolup on a 2L...

Jimmy I haven't got that far yet...

Been playing arround with the stock BCS this week and not fully tuned yet...

Need to get full control over the boost and dump my Wastegate back into the exhaust as I think I'm getting Phantom knock with it dumping to atmosphere.

Full boost is just after 4000rpm on the stock 2L block thats all I can say conclusively for now...

30R is way better then a 50trim I'd say, but id recommend the HTA35R if your going to be spending $ on a New Turbo Kit

I'd say 30R, but do you want quicker spooler or more power? For a DD, I actually wouldn't mind a little extra lag. Makes driving peacefully easier. It's a challange sometimes to stay out of boost because the stock turbo is so quick. No disco potato, but a great turbo nonetheless. Go ride/drive in some cars equiped with different turbos. This includes the famous GT35R. A turbo upgrade is a big decision with a lot of $$$ invested, so don't regret going too small or whatever afterwards.
