You should really consider just enjoying ur cars. I always read on 6speed about the builder of ur porsche complaining bc you have unrealistic expectations.

Al- this seems really unprofessional. If ur customer has unrealistic expectations then u tell him what u can offer and if hges not impressed u part ways. Making a thread to ask the "Master" is stupid.

Send your car to a tuner who knows how to tune past 23 psi on straight pump. I've never seen an impressive result from DynoFlash on straight 93.

What is an average HP number for pump gas? Has to be 500-550 or so. I would expect to see these numbers from the mods on the "customer" car, without meth.
I tend to predict a bit low though as I have not seen many 35r Evos in person. I only read about them here.

You all are shot! I said I dont want to be bad bsh or I would sent it to buschur. Im realistically trying to make numbers that are easily achievable. Have you been on ICS's dynojet. Pete made 620 on this dyno and thats 587 on buschurs dyno. You think me wanting 587 on pump/double nozzle meth is out of wack? your all on drugs

Who knows its not done yet. **** takes forever with this guy! Supposedly 600 was made last night at F'in 36 psi which is a joke and no timing at all with 109 unleaded which I NEVER ASKED FOR.

It's not clear after reading number 4 in highhats' post if he is looking for 620 on pump or pump+meth. If just pump, then I don't think there's a chance. If it's on pump+meth then it may be able to get close.

I understand this but the fact that he does it in such a way to draw attention and or customer to buschur just pisses me off.

DB knows what he is doing, makes good parts, tunes with the best of them, can build a car to do whatever he wants it to, AL cannot. The way in which Al is constantly suckling on DB's ***** pisses me off to no ends, I respect David Buschur tremendously as he does so much for our community.

We all know Buschur knows what he is doing, Al doesn't need to make these threads.

My problem is that I am having a hard time to convince him that the proper selection of parts is very important to get a great VE on a motor and maximize pump gas potential.

Please if you can review his set up as compared to the BAD BISH and tell me how you feel his parts selections will vary from those of the Bad Bish in making power

Stubborn Customer - - - - Bad Bish

Stock Evo Head - - - - BR ported head
Stock valves - - - - BR Valves
Stock Crank - - - - BR balanced crank
Wesico off the shelf pistons - - - - BR Custom JE pistons

Full Race copy - - - - BR Tubular header
custom manifold with .62 turbine housing - - - - BR turbo kit
on Gt35 R - - - - HTA GT35R

BR Delux FMIC - - - - BR RACE FMIC

Cosworth mivec cams - - - - BR race cams

HKS TWIN FIRE on - - -
stock coils - - - - BR COP

Please give me your thoughts about how the customer's selected parts will inpact his ability to make pump gas power.

The customer does also have a meth injection kit - Aquamist HFS 1 - and is running a bit over 36 psi of boost now but the results are less than satisfactory from his perspective

Without disclosing what the numbers show - how do you think his set up at 26 psi with pump and meth compares to the BAD BISH at 30 psi with straight pump.

The customer is dissapointed as he "expects" to be making "at least" the same power as the BAD BISH - "if not more" and I have tried to explain to him why designing the set up is crucial for maximizing the potential of a engine / turbo combination.

Thanks

Al

What power numbers is the "customer" making?

Ported head + larger turbine housing will NET large gains.

Also what does the tune look like?

Anyone can make a ultra high dyno pull. Now does the car drive around at 600whp+ on pump gas is the question.

That's not tending to predict low - that's a very HIGH prediction for pump gas 35Rs. Most make ~450whp on pump gas and 23-25psi. It wasn't until recently that we started seeing Buschur (and others) make big time power on 35Rs and pump gas, but those are cars that are inredibly well-modded. They aren't running around on stock parts - they have very well-built and well-combined mods. A regular stock motor 35R will usually do 450-ish WHP on pump gas and normal psi (23-25).

If you really are commited to 600 atw or so... you really should consider a ported head I'd have thought. I'm not sure what to expect from a stock head.
