Once we get the set up complete I will have dyno graphs for you. The turbo and Manifold are both twin scroll, we have been revving it around 8k.

we are going to see what these H Beam rods can really hold

If you are interested in one please PM me, this is not the proper place to discuss price.

How did the stock turbo spool? Did it surge? What numbers did it make? What cams have you been using? Why are you making us ask all the obvious questions?

Have you done back to back test with the Hafe intake versus stock?

I am working on getting you the dyno graphs ASAP. the phones have been off the hook today and I apologize for not having them ready ahead of time!

I don't know if anyone really cares about coolant lines to the T/B, and even if they do, it is as simple as supplying the package with longer lines to be able to connect to the factory water pipe and head. I have mine eliminated, no problems here. The engine bay gets hot enough to warm the T/B up to most likley avoid a sticking problem.

Wow, classic Slowboy Racing right here folks! Does it even have a built motor? That thing could have a stock block for all we know! Maybe it doesn't even run! Maybe it makes 1700whp @ 20psi on 87octane, all we need is the lucky charms leprechaun and we're set!

Seriously, if you're going to post something like this, post some legit numbers, and stick to your story

Please see above, and also Please keep this clean, I am posting up this info more as a "Q&A" than a "Flame SBR" thread. If you have legitimate concerns/questions, I will be more than happy to answer them.

Thank you

On the 50 Trim it ran out of steam around 7k *ish* but we run it to 8k without issues.

Agreed, but I do see a lot of people that want to retain all stock lines.

Cheers

PM for price.

The 102mm crank in a 4G63 makes a 2.4L in a 4G64 it makes a 2.5L

We are making a safe reccomendation at 8k. There is no replacement for displacement. Hence 2.3L, 2.4L, 2.5L even 2.6L. Why do you think the small block chevy has been so popular in the race world?

Please let me know if you have any more questions.

Let me step in and help just a bit. Preferably without stepping on anyone's toes.
A: For those of you with a bone to pick, please understand SBR is a busy place. There are 5 people posting in this thread and a simple typo doesn't require flaming.

B: The car HAS been dyno'd with the 2.5L motor. My stock 05 VIII turbo was bolted to that very motor when it was first plunked into the car (un-refreshed) and it was rediculous! It spooled so fast it felt like all the air in the room left in one big gulp as soon as the car was WOT. At that time it was only able to run low boost 15 or so psi - and STILL made mid 300's in torque. Shy of 3000 rpm. I also drove it. And still have a lawsuit pending against Mike for whiplash. You simply cannot even TOUCH the gas pedal without it ripping your retina's out of the back of your eyes and blasting them into the recaro's. This motor with a 16g drives like a V10.

~ A side note is at that point the engine was very low on compression. It had seen more than a season of absolute ***** to the wall rallying and this is how it performed 90% spent. At some point Mike decides to continue development on this particular configuration - or makes changes. This is how R&D works. If you need visual representation of this process; see score board.
http://www.rally-america.com/index.php

I wasn't present on the fresh motor with the 50 trim.

However, having had a little more hands on experience with this motor. Albeit limited considering its state at the time. I can assure you the juicy details are worth the wait. And the flaming is simply ignorance. Why **** on the beehive that is busy churning out new toys for your car? Keep it clean, and ask the questions you want answers to.

Also -SBR uses a dynapack dyno.
