Driven Innovations Intake Manifold Saftey Notice

Customer saftey is a priority for any decent person.

I like the DI manifold very much and it works great at a great price. Tom is a great guy also.

With this said, I am aware of two incidents where fuel rail mounts have detached and resulted in fuel spraying all over the engine bay and a potential for fire.

If you have a DI unit contact DI to have your intake repaired.

I am not trying to bash DI. I don't want to see anyone's car burn or anyone get hurt. Saftey matters like this should not be dealt with on the "dl"

Al

Good heads up Al, Tom builds a very nice manifold, things happen, and I know he will take care of it . I would have no problem running one of his manifolds if I did not do my own.

DI is a great unit. Can you post a picture of your posts so people can see what the update looks like and determine if they need a simple repair ? Thanks

Al, I have contacted all of my customers over 2 weeks ago! I know who may have an issue and I'm taking care of it! Thanks for the heads up and honestly I don't think this thread is neccesary!

I will post pics of Sumans manifold and the issue, but it doesn't seem like it was weld problem!

Also I will post pics of my manifolds and their quality so there is no doubt about them!

I was just thinking that. Some of us need to learn how to shut our mouths. This should go under vendor bashing. Definitely not necessary.

what manifold do you run Al?
if he uses a DI mani, than this definitely isn't vendor bashing,,,

However it is a slightly innapropriate way to inform people.....

he runs the HKS intake manifold. I know vendors have their own section to discuss subjects like this.

Yeah im running Both Di manifolds the drag race manifold and normal no problems what so ever. Tom did contact me to give me heads up 2 weeks ago. We went over the welds and took care of it. I feel this thread should be deleted all it does is make Tom look bad, He works very hard to take care of his customers...which he has done. Al try to think before you post

I agree, mine is on its way to Buschur for my build, but we had to wait for 2 weeks before he finalized all my parts. But the reason it took so long was he was waiting for a throttle body adapter and plug to make it IAC compatable and plug and play! Amazing customer service! This thread was far from necessary without properly talking to Tom first!
