jansen the plan is a CF truck and hood for sure. the roof I dunno yet, I may just do the mitsu aluminum roof.

Everybody thank you SO much for the support.

The bad news is no 9 But the car ran STRONG all day

I tried everything to get is the 9's. I played with shock settings, tire pressures and Dave and I tried messing with the 2 step. I made 6 passes today. My best was a 10.1 at 145 and that was on a 1.73 60ft. All day long I had REALLY bad tire spin.

The track had 0 prep on it. Its dragway 42 where all they have for prep is a broom and a mop, and the air was damp and heavy

I tried using Trent's full M/T drag slicks and I was spinning them things like I didnt even have a tire on the rim Eric got it all on video and you can see the smoke coming off the slicks I will try and get vid up tommarrow. Thanks Eric for running the camcorder man, it was good to see you today!!!

I wanna say thank you to DB for all his help today. Dave works so hard to help me out and do everything he can for me to help me with my goal. Dave I am so sorry I just cant pull that single digit pass for you and I Also Dave and Trent congrats on that new MPH OH and taking home that cash price. I know I was runner up in qualifing but someone had a big mouth and said something about my tires... Its not like his 11.4 sec Evo at 121 was gonna beat me, I proly could have run on just rims w/o tires and beat him, I was just trying set a personal best.

Also I wanna say thank you to Tom (aka 9sec9) for your help to day with helping me get the tires swapped around and for getting those suggestions with tire pressures. It was a real pleasure meeting you today. I wish you and Tony all the best with the car this year with that awsome IX

 

10.1 at 145 is still very amazing...sounds like you're a slightly better 60' away from doing 9's haha so friggin close!

 

Wish I could have been up there, But I suppose some of us have to work while others go play. Sorry to hear about someone running their mouth. That sucks. You will get that 9 sec. pass.
