To many threads on these same issues do some searching like the rest of us. It makes things much easier, cleaner for the forums, and all the good important threads stay on top. Instead of the same thread with the same question phrased ten different ways from twenty people.

cars with stock turbo and S2s have been doing very well as far as spool and midrange power. Most people find that they dont loose any spool up time with the S2.
However the stock turbo is pretty small and spools easily. A 30R takes more to spool and the effects of a bigger cam in the midrange is going to be a little bit more noticeable.
We have done a few cars with S1s and a 3076 kit. They made over 400WHP and were very streetable and responsive. It probably my favorite setup for a EVO9. Pulls all the way to redline and is still good down low.
If you only plan to go 30R and nothing bigger i say go with S1. You dont HAVE to change valve springs with the S1s, unless you want to rev higher.
If you have any questions, feel free to give us a call

Thanks,
Travis
