Noise from tranny.. is this ok?

Recently changed to HKS twin plate GD pro and have this TICK TICK sound after 10KM drive.

Sound exactly like the one in youtube when neutral. The "whirring" sound disappears when clutch pedal is pressed in and reappears when the clutch pedal is out

http://youtube.com/watch?v=jViiT4OyEiE&feature=related

Found this but no conclusion. https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...hlight=gearbox

I've changed the clutch bearing not still no luck.. wondering izzit problem with the HKS GD Pro clutch itself..

Both I have no expierience with the HKS. Many stock clutches rattle just the same. Clutch in and the sound is gone.

Many will say its the TOB. Many will say its the input shaft bearings on the tranny

Noisy drivetrains in these EVOs man. I just crank the tunes

thx. It's annoying cause the sound is quite loud.. Izzit the clutch or gearbox that produce this sound?

Just wondering will it helps (if the sound is cause by gearbox) by changing the gear oil to other brand (i.e. redline) as I'm using trust gear oil now or it just waste of $$$ to change gear oil as it won't help.

The noise i got started around 9k miles on stock clutch. I cant say it sounds like his, mine is heard at around 3-3.5k RPM while car is stationary (cant tell while moving due to normal road noise). As soon as i disengage the clutch the noise goes away. At first i thought TOB myself and was rather concerned. I read around a bit and it seems that "clutch chatter" is common. I am no expert but i haven't noticed and performance decrease clutch seems to hold at high rpm. My car is pretty much stock, only mods are:

BR filter kit
AMS lightweight battery kit
Authority SS
Kartboy Shifter/linkage bushings

Bump if anyone else has any thoughts.

hmmm after hearing that again i'm thinking a pulley might be going out. It kinda sounds like that chirping noise. Again I'm no expert.

Probably just normal noise, but if you're really concerned...it never hurts to have a professional look at it. Try to find an excuse to have Shep rebuild it.
