Stock turbo - header worth it?

I can almost justify a tubular header on looks alone!

As far as performance, will it do much on the stock turbo? Which do people prefer? I see AMS sells the Megan unit.

You get more gains out of a posted and polished stock mani and dont have to worry about cracking. Mine will be f/s in about 2 weeks. Its the one that comes on BR350 package.

A ported head may work better.

Do a search, ported and coated stock manifolds actually get decent gains on the stock turbo.

Let me break it down for ya:

You can go tubular turbo manifolds and it will help spool and create a bit of power. To get a good one, they are very expensive. My favourite is the full race one. Runner up is AMS, but I don't know if they make it for stock flange or not. If you go with a cheap manifold like Megan or DC Sport, they can crack on you. Still make power, but no where near the quality.

You can port your stock log exhaust manifold. It will still be a log manifold so no real increase in the spool naturally, but it will flow better and make some power. Personally, this is the route to go with a stock turbo setup. Buschur racing does this service at a very affordable price.

Stock manifold on evo is not a log style manifold. They have individual runners going into divided flange, where as traditional log manifolds have runners going into a "log" that as a flange. I've never considered a stock manifold on evo's a log manifold.
