rev limit question

rev limit question

hey guyz ,im running jam 2.3l stage 3 short block and stage 3 cilender head .
plz tell me wat shud be the max rev limit i can go ?
im running power fc so i can adjust the rev limit wid the comander .
rite now my rev limit is set at 7800 i just need to increase my rev limit when im racing and i race once or twice a month only .
so can i go 8500 for once or twice a month .
ny wid 1st hand experience shud be appreciated .

i do not have first hand experience, however ONLY WHEN RACING i would not go above 8200rpms otherwise i would stay around the 7500 area.

i believe Jackson Auto Machine can answer this question better than anyone..
maybe you should drop them a pm

hey ,they have told me that many of their customer r reving till 8500 and they goin gud .
so i think 8200 will be best for me only for races ...
i just wanted to know how many peoples r running past 8k on 2.3.

sorry bro but you think wrong.

when you strock you rev limit becomes lower, it doesnt actually become lower but lower is where you want it to be due to piston speed at high revs.
