MAF CEL Light ...

So I was replacing my intake piping, and when I was putting everything back together, I forgot to hook up the MAF Sensor before starting the car. I immediately shut the car off, and hooked the sensor back up, but the CEL persists. Will this code clear by itself, and if not what can I do to eliminate the CEL??

Thanks,
Nick

Yes it should clear in due time. If not just disconnect the battery and reconnect.

You won't lose your tune.

Disconnecting the battery will reset the RAM, wihch holds things like fuel trims, CEL codes, OBD readiness status, etc. Your tune is held in ROM, not RAM. If disconnecting your battery cleared your ROM, every car would never start again after disconnecting the battery.

It's nothing to worry about, though. Disconnecting your battery will clear the CEL and you'll be fine.
