Installed Cams and tach is not working. Any Ideas
Just installed some cams and now the tach is not working. Its an Evo IX. The car starts and idles like any other 280 cams do, however the tach does not work. I unplugged and plugged everything back in again and it still does not work. The check engine light isn't on and it does not throw any codes. I am assuming the tach gets the signal from the ecu, which gets it from the crank angle sensor. If the crank angle sensor was not working the car wouldn't start and would throw a CEL. Any ideas?
Thanks,
Nick

Yeah, I always disconnect the battery before doing anything. Ill check all the fuses. Hopefully it will be that. I would think if any of the cam angle sensors or the crank angle sensor was bad it wouldn't start. However, I have never tried it so correct me if I am wrong.
