Why Does My Intercooler Hose Keep Coming Off At The Track ???
I had my Evo 8 at the track this past weekend . . .Shenandoah, which is part of the Summit Point circuit in West Virginia. A 1.5 mile lapping track.
Car is stock except for injen intake, greddy blow off and borla cat back exhaust.
Anyway, last run session of the day my car was stalling, sputtering and puffing black smoke. I removed the plastic shroud underneath the engine and found the hose came off from the intercooler on the passenger side. Hose back on... car working fine.
The next day, second run session... same problem. Sputtering, stalling, hose came off the intercooler again.
Why is this happening? How can I prevent this from happening?

It sounds like your IC Hose clamp is crap. I had the same thing happen only at the TB. It popped off twice under load. After that I replaced it with one actually intended for use on a rig and it has never came off again.
I had the worst time with that at Sebring this passed weekend.
No matter what clamp I tried, the darn thing just kept coming off.
I had to shift the tubing a little in a few places; the engine moved so much from on/off throttle inputs, the motor would simply jerk the tubing clean off.
Try jockying the tubing around before getting crazy with clamps.
Hope that helps!

get a good set of T-bolt hose clamps and/or spray a small amount of hairspray on the ID of the hose before installing. when it dries it will get sticky and keep it from blowing off.

Check this link out! I got one of there sets and it seems to work pretty good. The clamp at the throttle body is clearly for the stock size hose so if you are running an aftermarket one, like the Injen UICP that I have, then you may want to get a 2.75 clamp.
Also Napa has a large variety of T-bolt clamps. around $4 a piece I think of course depending on size. Hope this helps.

IIRC, you need a 2.5" 45* silicone hose to connect the LICP to the IC. If I was in your shoes, I'd look at getting either a hard-pipe UICP with silicone couplers, or replace the stock rubber IC hoses with silicone hoses, and I'd definitely replace the LICP with something like the AMS LICP.

No problem just hope it helps. You can also get the silicone couplers from that web site. They aren't a big name brand like AMS or Injen or Buschur but they have quality products. One of my friends back in TN is running there stuff on his 500+AWHP Evo. He hasn't had any problems yet.
