Ah, those carbon fiber goodies. Indy, if you want to attempt selling these I have the template made for the EVO8's already. I built them on my car and built one spare that has been on my desk ever since. So you know, I made a post about mine last year sometime but there seemed to be absolutely no interest at all. Hopefully that has changed now. It would be a nice additional product for you.

I am trying like hell to find the pictures I posted of my car with these in it and can't. Any of you guys better at searching than I am?

To the OP: Let me approach this in a different way--whenever BR builds a motor and subsequently tunes it, do they tune for max power every single time? It would seem to me that you would have customers who would ask BR to make the max power for their setup, while other customers may request a certain power figure. Would you happen to have a copy of your dyno chart? I'd simply like to see how the turbo is behaving towards the end of the dyno run. Thanks!

David - I made a template and mailed it to Jim. He made the pieces from my template. I'm going to test fit them and can sand them down accordingly and let Jim know what I did so he can "adjust" the template.

David tunes for max power and reliability. Isn't that what EVER tuner should do??

There is a link in the first post with dyno chart.

If so requested by the customer, then yes, but not every customer wants to be tuned for max power. Some customers may be a turbo capable of making 700hp, but may initially have the car tuned for say 500hp because they do not want to make any more power at that point but want the ability to make more down the road.

I made 720whp! But yes, it's quite rare.

Ok...looked at your dyno graph...very nice!...but I don't see any signs of the turbo reaching its maximum efficiency. It would seem to me that...if your 93 octane tune was at 29psi, that you could up the psi some more and make more power.

On pump gas, the limiting factor is not the boost level.

GT35R series turbos are race gas high boost turbos. Of course you are not going to reach its maximum efficiency on pump gas.

Honestly I don't know what you are getting at. Not many cars are going to make anywhere near this kind of power on a 35R.

I'd simply like to know if you'd make more power at say 32psi on pump gas. Plain and simple. What made the tuning stop at 29psi? Very simple questions. No hating. I've given you plenty of props on your car.

Yes, it will continue to make more power as you turn the boost up but the law of diminishing returns comes into play with the reliability aspect.

Thanks for that clarification. Please understand that I am not in any way, shape or form hating against your setup. I am simply trying to understand the methodology behind the tune. Good luck!
