There is a TON of info on here answering those questions. Have you researched it before making this thread? I personally have made a thread with comparison dyno graphs...

LOL, Me and my boy where discussing this today.

I dont know whether to get an EVO8 TME 20g 10.5 hotside or an EVO9 TME 20 10.5 hotside turbo??? From my understanding the EVO 9 turbo has less surge than the EVO 8 turbo not to mention the price difference. Between the 2 there is a $500 dollar difference(thats with the EVO8 install kit) not too bad in my opinion.

bump for some good info.

Hewy warrtalon...dont you think a 118 trap is kinda low for your set up? I went 119.77 with e 85 and the stock VIII turbo

No, Tony, I'm at 6000' altitude, and your results are extremely atypical. In fact, my analysis shows that I'm only really trapping in the 116s. I do not believe the 118s are legit, and no one has ever trapped that high up here on the stock turbo (nowhere near it) without nitrous.

Huevos, please for the love of Evos, do not purchase any turbo based off an VIII. No one uses 20g VIIIs...they are no good. Don't mess with 6-bladed 20g-IXs either. The FP Green is the only good 20g at this point...

I'd just stick to a IX turbo or go with the green all together. In the end it all really depends on your current desired power level. Many people will get everything they need from the stock IX turbo but if you plan on going on step past 350-400awhp the green is a good option for big numbers.

Comparison:
IX turbo~ (used)(great condition or new) $450 shipped (with WGA, pipe and lines)

Meth or e85 ($550 for meth)(Aquamist)**OR**($270 for injectors to run e85)

Dynojet numbers~in at or around 400whp and 420wtq

Comparison:
Green~1695 minimum (new)

Meth or e85(price the same as up top)

dyno jet numbers~ in at or around 425whp 430wtq

If you do research there isn't much power or 1/4 mile diff between IX and green when they are maxed out.**considering the scratch you dishing out for a few more HP/10ths. You have to ask yourself "is it worth it"?

My opinion is formed from feed back from former green owners and TONS of research.

Hope this helps.
