Say you have a 2.4L, HTA3076, new GSC S1 cams, and ported head, where do you think that you would get (RPM) full boost and peak torque at??

It's about a $500.00 difference...I don't think that is a valid enough reason not to get a 2.3. Just my .02 though.

100mm Eagle crank
Eagle rods
+ 6mm wrist pin height pistons of choice. (Ross for the one I built for a friend)

Main reason for this setup... it was simple. No boring of the cylinders, engine runs great, much more bottom end and it spools up a 50trim quicker than the stock turbo w/ a 2.0L.

I think its mainly personal preference.

BC 2.4L setups are not good at all. If you do a search you'll know why.

If you going to do it do a 2.3L spend the extra money and get some better rods. Im not saying nothing is wrong with them at all. All im saying is do it right the first time.

Not to mention that 4G64 blocks have to be machined for oil squirters to cool the pistons.

Well looks like you wasted your money on a AMS 2.3L then. Not everyone wants to rev to 9-10,000 rpm

you can buy 2 SBR 2.4L for the price of one 2 or 2.3. The 2.4 has no core charge from SBR. My friend has one with zero problems except that it almost breaks his neck from massive power and torque every time he gives it gas. Many track cars are using with great success they just don't post it up on forums.

I would like to hear more about the BC 2.4 on the stock block.... that is news to me.
It will play nice with the Mivec for about $100.00 in fittings and SS -4 line...

I can put up a how to - or what you will need if someone wants to know.... email me mh@slowboyracing.com

Or - stop by the shop I can take you for a spin around the block.
