2.3 stroker or 2.4 ? help please

hi, I wanna stroke my car to 2.3 or 2.4 but cant decide yet

2.3 set up
cp pistons 85.5mm bore
eagle h type rods
custom 2.3 crank

or

brain crower 2.4 kit
cp pistons 86mm bore
BC 4340 billet steel, 7 bolt crankshaft (102mm stroke).
BC 4340 steel Econo (600hp) rated or Pro (800hp) Series billet rods w/ARP 220,000 psi fasteners.
but I think we have eccono rods here

I have a high flow turbine its an upgraded evo 9 turbo did the upgrade in japan like the evo green kinda rated 420 hp on 1.2 bar with a gd tune not tested yet

I would like to have more tourqe + if theres any reason not to go with 2.4 please state why I did some research but still I am confused some ppl say its gd some say its worst than 2.3 and some say it have more tq at the beging but not all the way like the 2.3 I am not looking for big rpm range past 7500 rpm I will be driving it daily and for street racing, any ideas thoughts would be apperciated.

For the street get a 2.3 not sure about the 2.4 but you will be rev limited a little bit more. If you want a 2.4 that can rev get a 2.4 block and build it.

2.3L allday...

I have a green on my 2.3L stroker... btw your not going to have too much of a top end with traditional mbcs or ebcs... ecu boost control is the ONLY way to go...

I made 440whp and 480 Tq on my set up ( 30 psi )

I'm gonna be getting a 2.4.

I did some looking into it and it seems the 2.4 is more reliable, since its not a 2.0 thats bored to 2.3 its actually a 3g eclipse or galant engine I believe thats just speced to racing. I believe the safe rev limit is 8k.

If you have a 9 you are much better off going with a 2.2 or 2.3.

The 2.4 is 8 friendly but you may lose some revs.

Personally ..... I would copy whatever the heck AMS uses because they have had excellent proven results on a **** pounded time attack car.

make sure your builder knows that if you use a 4g64 block your timing marks will be off

Interesting discussion. For those of you who are saying stay away from the 4G64, what are you basing your discussion on? Do you have personal experience with this block or are you intimately knowledgeable on this block and design? I have a 4G64 block and crank and am trying to decide what to do with it. Thanks for INTELLIGENT replies and discussion.

Nothing wrong with the 4G64 block .... it just doesn't play nice with mivec.

I would like to hear more about the BC 2.4 on the stock block.... that is news to me.
