the pull type clutches tend to pop the clip rings out of place causing you to remove the tranny just to clip it back on while push type you will never have that poblem

^^^^^ story of my life. I popped the clip on my Exedy It is caused from fast/hard shifts and launches. A simple solution is to use 3 rings behind the clip if you can locate them. But I just installed a Tilton Twin Carbon and all I can say is wow. I will never go back to a pull type clutch. Look into either the AMS kit or buy a push type like the Tilton.

I heard push type clutches last longer than pull type clutches... any opinion on this?

If this is true Im buying a quartermaster push type twin plate clutch for $1550.

I'm rebuilding my exedy twin to a triple and also ordered the push conversion.

I've been told that converting to push will help in making it easier to slip the exedy clutches which do tend to want to bite.

I will try to find a pic. The install calls for one ring, using 3 seems to help the pressure on the clip. We tried it and it worked great, no more issues. The ring looks like a large thin washer, but is wavy all around instead of flat. Hard to explain, but I'll try to find a pic.

After having to remove all the PP bolts through the shift fork opening due to not being able to release the clip that holds the bearing ..........i'm very happy to have swapped over

I'm running a Quarter Master Twin from Devo Tuning.

I'll start a thread for my initial impression later tonight.

You are making a wise choice.....lightning quick shifts and dont have to worry about the death ring popping off. The uqarter master twin is a damn good clutch
