Or should I just screw the cams/FMIC and get an Aquamist kit? Which would be the better, more reliable route?

Meth will definitely put you to 400. I have a V2 SMC kit for sale. It isn't the fancy shmancy Aquamist but it works just the same minus a failsafe. I used it for roadracing and never had an issue.

There is zero maintenance for bolt on parts. The only maintenance for WI is checking the pump each time you start the car and filling it when it needs it.

true, but there is a pump, which is a mechanical, with moving parts.

FMIC, there are no moving parts. anyway, i am probably looking into it too much.

meth would be cool and alot of power.

I'd have to disagree.
A. If you look at the top fastest/quickest stock turbo evo's for 08 thread, cossi cams are on the mods list 3x more than gsc
B. There have been many threads recently in which the more aggressive cams made originally for larger turbos are making more power than their smaller versions on stock turbo (s2 v s1, m3 v m2 v m1, etc)

Oh and op, you're not going to hit 400 with just cams and i/c, sorry. Gonna need meth most likely to push you over that edge.

^^^for your part B i'd say yes and no. It kinda comes down to whoever is doing the tuning and how they are tuning the car(aggressive/conservative)

If your going to push the stock turbo, a FMIC and at least the LICP should be next. There's a lot of heat generated from pushing a stock turbo.
Then I would do the Corn (E85) with a set of 1000cc.

i mentioned cossi's too, but S1s have more low end power. cossi has more high end.

Overall, I'd say you'd be very happy with S1's. They make the car 10X more fun to drive. The torque burst is just amazing. A number is just a number. Install cams then a FMIC and go from there. There's really no risk in doing those mods. The same cannot be said of meth.

I'm still debating the GSC vs the Cossi's also. I'm on information overload so I still can't make a decision!

take a look at the dynos. each one has a different power curve. that should help you decide.

So the GSC S1s are for stock springs & retainers and have better low end, and the GSC S2s require upgraded springs & retainers and have better top end?

While you are changing cams isn't it worth doing the springs and retainers too?
