Most will tell you tap runner 1 for the EGT and no more than 12in down stream on the down pipe anywhere between a 10 - 2 configuration

My DP has a EGT bung but I was wondering if it would work there. It's a Tanabe dp, at least I think it's an EGT bung.

No the EGT sensor bung needs to be tapped into the manifold (well it should if you want accurate EGT's). Usually runner 1.

The O2 sensor bung will get tapped into your down pipe

EGT sensor like stated above should be at the manifold if you want accurate readings. normally in the 2nd runner.
wideband sensor should be optimally no further than 12" below from the turbo, i have mine at the test pipe and works wonderfully.

not really however if you have never drilled and threaded a hole before it is easy to mess it up. let somebody who has done it before do it.

keep in mind everything that falls in your manifold when your drilling your runner will be going through your turbo if you don't get it out.
