I appreciate your efforts here. If the cover is put on with "light screwdriver-level" torque, the head can expand and contract without stressing the bushings. By the way, I have a new Instruction Sheet that I put in all clear cam gear covers now that addresses this. Thanks!

Cool man once you don't feel as if I'm trying to downplay your product... just trying to help...

I just purchased one of these, and look forward to getting it on there. I learned the hard way about over tightening with the plastic cover on the valve cover. Had a thought though. They do sell rubber or nylon washers at the local Home Depot. Has anyone tried putting those in between the cover and the bolts? Just a thought.

I have seen a few of those in person. IMO the factory cover looks like much sturdier plastic, and I dont think its a good idea to mess around with something that can get caught in your cam gears/ timing belt. Fitment is much better being oem Im sure. I have heard quite a few people locally having issues with those aftermarket covers. I would personally recommend to sell it and stick the oem back on.

Any particular reason you want to be able to see your timing belt go round and round?

Seeing your after market cam gears, being able to see if the belt is starting to wear funny, having something different then every other Evo that came off the assembly line. These are just a few reasons that I purchased a Zaklee clear cam gear cover. Is it made of different plastic than the OEM one? Obviously it's different, It's clear! LOL It's made from Polycarbonate not ABS plastic, although both are very durable in there own right, they both have certain down falls. The OEM one can turn white or grey from certain chemicals. The clear one can become cloudy from chemical like chlorinated brake parts cleaner. Why would I purchase another one? Because of the incredible customer service after the sale. If it was for nothing else that alone would be enough.
