OR after looking at your mod list more lol you could do some other things to the car that will still benefit you, and wait to see some test data!

What you have in mind? Let's see if you mention something I haven't planned yet.

I'm very tempted to try this turbo, but seeing as I run E85....running pump gas psi seems like I would be better served with something more Green-ish
I live in a third world country where the best pump gas varies between 89-91 octane. I run this crappy gas and never boost over 24 PSI. Someday I may add a Meth injection kit, but even then I´d never boost over 28#.

Most of my driving is twisty mountain roads at 5000 ft. I value quick turbo spoolup(22 PSI @ 2800 RPM) and transient response. I don´t participate in Drags or road racing.

I was never very happy with the Green/10.5 spoolup characteristics(23# @ 3400), or the Green/9.0(23# @ 3200). So, I may go with a White/9.8 with a JDM RS TiAl turbine wheel. I may even kick the cams back down to S1´s. I realize that it´s just conjecture on my part, but I think that this combo would afford a noticeable improvement in midrange power.

If I had access to E85 then I´d just stick with the Green, as I could run bigger boost on a regular basis.

400 or slightly more on pump with stock-like spool is my holy grail so this seems to be the perfect turbo for me. Wondering how it will compare with a stock IX turbo in terms of extra dyno hp but on the other hand I don't really care - with ceramic coating, migh pressure wastegate, porting and polishing and little extra options like that this will should be a nice little turbo that won't kill driveability or require a whole host of supporting mods.

Heck, it might even work well with the stock injectors for all I know at this point.

Question is - where to buy? Does Buschur have these yet?

I see where you are coming from with some of this.

FP has them.

When I 1st made the thread, I thought the guy at FP told me an VIII turbo. It is confirmed that it is a IX turbo.

So its a IX turbo that spools faster but the FP green still flows more air? so wats so good about it will it put down the same hp like the green has?

Wow, I also live in a 3rd world country - our fuel is about 88MON - I run around 22psi with additives... We at almost 6000ft altitude...

I think your on the right track and understand your needs better than most.

In the same sitution on an Evo 8 I would go HKS/GSC 264intake - 272exhaust Cams
and
Try this FP White Turbo with a 10.5 Hotside but with a EVO400 Ballbearing upgrade...

.

Good Luck!

Same. This sounds ideal for what I was considering for my evo. I'd really like to see an in depth comparison using the same cars between the white and the green anyway, to see the differences in maximum output and spool

That is what everyone is waiting to see, #'s. The turbo was just released friday/saturday. They are for sell but no charts as of yet. They are working on it.

The WHITE has a faster spool but the GREEN still better top end. It's just a matter of waiting for the results to see which one best fits what you are going for.

I think the WHITE is going to be a great turbo if it fits your needs.

It's only 1300 too.

I'm waiting for that too. I was suppose to be purchasing a GREEN later this week but this talk has me wondering about the WHITE. As of right now, I'm still going GREEN. I will be running meth.

The White is now up on the FP site, certainly sounds promising.
