I am in the process of getting a laptop, but I'm pretty sure my tune is ok. When I get everything going I'll hit you up on that offer. Thanks

Any Idea whats going on yet? Im running a similar set up, and getting a bit worried.

Octane has a larger effect on timing than boost.

I have the same mods as you except an 8 turbo. I made 320/307 on a Dyno jet in about 90* weather. I am running more boost and it didnt seem to help the power any. 91 is a worthless gas that should be outlawed. You definitely should be making a little more power though.

Yea. I agree with the 91!!!! Lol. We tried turning up the boost a little and I really wasn't making any gain other than pissing my turbo off b/c of the hot air I kept throwing at it. I ordered new seals for my throttle body. Other than that I'm going to get it put together and see what happens after that.

it's the tune or the parts you dont have listed & / or both.

a open intake sucking in hot air will kill your power.

ANYONE from california posting / knows all about 91 octane......so the sympathy well is running extremely low from us.

if you tuned your car, you have more work to do. no biggy, everone needs to learn, but if you paid someone, look for a different tuner

please list all mods.

i make 415 on a dj on 91 & i get 25/27mpg @ 80./90 mph on the hwy.

You guys also own Evo 9's that can run more boost than Evo 8's on 91 octane.

The OP has a Evo 8 I assume from looking at his stat information.

23psi is actually on the "high" side for a Evo 8 on 91 octane, depending on mods and boost control of course.

That will/can do it. Every other Evo 9 that comes through our shop has bad seals. I've seen bad seals on Evo 8's as well. I've seen up to 25whp/30wtq loss from leaking shaft seals.

Even the best tuner can't make a Evo that is not working 100% make good power.

Hell if 91 is the best you can find, if I were you, I would invest into a meth kit... Number seem kinda low, on 93 with buschur stage 1 on my IX, I put down 320whp and 320wtq @22psi.

Who tuned you? Also, if there are no good tuners around you, you might want to try someone like Mellon. Great tuner!

omg, how many times will this happen...

dyno's are meant as a tool to help judge gains for an idividuals car, and help tune.

they are really not more than a really BALL-PARK figure for different cars on different dyno's reguardless if its on the same kind of dyno or not. there are many options and ways for dyno's to put out different readings.

thats why you take these dyno numbers, and the next time you do something to your car, you compare it to this chart, and you can see what you just changed did for your hp/tq. COMMON GUYS

Here are my mods. Exedy Twin Disk HD, Shep Trans, TBE, EMBC, RS BOV, Evo IX Turbo, Exhaust Manifold, SS 02 Housing, 272 BC, Walbro 255, Denso 680, FMIC, LICP, UICP, and a Tune.

I was expecting more, but is this normal? For some reason I thought I would be around 350-370 WHP.
could be some bad gas and the heat doesn't help at all either. Look at my mods and i'm still on the evo 8 turbo , but i was tuned at 93 octane and 22lbs of boost and stock evo 8 injectors
