Think I fried my clutch tonight
Think I fried my clutch tonight
No its fried no question about it. However what happened is really weird. I was driving with friends in a few other cars to go to our hang out spot out of town and I hear this really load BAM. I instantly slow down and poll over and I think Boost line busted... Look all over and it turned out to be my LIP came lose. In no time we have it back on but now I cant seem to get the car to in gauge. The clutch at this point smells really bad and everyone is like ok you Fried your clutch. 7000 miles and I have done about 15 launches total with this car. So I am about 30 miles out in the sticks in the mountains and my friend says, He can get it home if he can get it rolling...
I felt this is crazy dangerous but he is a nut job so we go for it. Sure enough he gets it to my house and as soon as we get it in the drive way the clutch totally goes out. We cant get it to in gauge at all.
Here is what is weird. The car at 4-5k rpms the car would start to roll, and in high rpms ran fine. Hell he passed me in his car at 100 mph. The other strange thing is that if the Clutch was not ingauged the car would not stop running. So any ideas about this. I don't have an option to get my car to a STealership at this time but I can take it to a Nissan Dealership to get it looked at next week.
