180 psi is this too high
180 psi is this too high
Just did a compression check after replacing my spark plugs........... all 4 cylinder came out to 180 psi. I was wondering isn't this too high for a Evo 9?

Incorrect, look at a service manual for both sometime.
Evo 9 is 145psi standard, 92 lower limit with no more than 14 psi difference between cylinders
Evo 8 is 163psi standard, 138 lower limit with no more than 14 psi difference between cylinders
OP: Was this compression test done on a cold or warm motor?

The engine was hot and has about 23k miles on her.
