Another pump gas beast hits the streets of Ohio
Thanks alot Mellon!
Im slowly getting better and there arent too many better to learn from than Trent! I was really glad to see him there!
I know the car will do mid 10s, I just need to get the 60' and everything together! I get better on each thing with each pass. Now I just need to get them all together! I deffinately think the coilovers will help with the 60s! I was watching the vids my one friend took and the car needs help with hooking up!

hmm coilovers haven't really been on my radar, maybe I should think about that for the future when I get to your HP level.
right now I'm spinning my *** off on the pavement...the BFG Drag Radials can't cope so I'm also going to be in the market for some better drag tires. What are the fast guys running?
what was your best 60?
you're very lucky to have Trent helping ya out, that's very cool of him to take time to do that.

Yea itsfast as hell! It gets scary on the streets, so I try to stay off it. I have BFG Drag Radials on it and it still likes to get squirly on the street when it hits boost.
My best 60 so far was a 1.667 when I did the 11.0. The BFGs hook well at 16 PSI, just 42 has no track prep at all. The car is wanting to bouce around (not wheel hop) when coming off the line because the suspension isnt stiff enough. I have a set of Apexi N1s on order and Swift springs already at Buschur, I also have some aero stuff and other stuff sitting around and the V2 Manifold is supposed to be here this week!

I haven't gotten better than a 1.7x since the 35R even with the DR's at 15psi
They have a cross eyed guy spraying water all over the damn place at Memphis Motorsports Park and he looks at you like you're crazy when you ask him to stop or try to drive around it...bah. Seems like I always end up with at least 1 or 2 wet tires which makes for an interesting launch sometimes.
When I bought my car with 14k miles somebody already put lowering springs on it...no earthly idea what they are..probably some cheap garbage so I'll put the coilsovers on my to do list, they should be lighter than stock struts/aftermarket springs too.

Very nice job last night. I didn't go because I thought the track rained out. It poured rain here at about 4:15 and the shop lost power. We waited until about 4:45 and the power still wasn't on and it was still raining so I let everyone go home. I never thought the track would have been open.
Glad was there to help you out, atleast now the car has a 10 second pass and you have something to shoot for! Trent is a great driver, he thinks if he hadn't bogged the car it would go 10.60's easily on pump gas.
With the 137.8 mph you ran it's obvious the car is going to freaking fly. It just takes practice.
Great job, great improvements.

Way to stay after it Celica2Evo. Sounds like you're doing a great job of taking in what Trent shows you. I'm also glad to see you doing it at the track too, instead of on the street. 10's at 140+ is next time out. Very nice work.
Thank Alot Everyone!
Its ok Dave, I understand! I thought that we were going to get rained out too when we were about 30 mins away, but it never did anything!
The car was running great! And Trent ran a good pass, even with bogging it! I deffinately think the car will go 10.5!

Thank You Tom! Im addicted already! Im heading out to the track by my school on Friday for our schools Grudge Match. I doubt I get into the grudge racing since its bracket and I dint have enough practice to know what to dial in. So ill just be running T&T all night and trying to get my 60' down to 1.5-1.6 where they need to be!
nice, rememebr LaRue is not very well prepped at all either. The track official sprinkles VHT on the launch pad like a Effin fairy lol. But i will be heading their also and brandons taking the 1G Dizum. I was actually tuning it last night on 14 psi and tuning for 19-21 psi today hopfully.
