I have a full blown and haven't had any issues but I also don't run any of my cars below a 1/4 a tank. Just a habit I learned from my dad. He never had a fuel pump go out and neither have I. I cant say scientifically but maybe that's why I don't see an issue with the FB and others have.

I have a full blown DP and i have had issues where it stops picking fuel up at 1/4 tank i thought it was because i had the y fitting on backwards in the tank on the back of the pumps some member on here told me he was having the same problem and he reversed the fitting and the problem went away what does everyone think about that could that have been my problem. i havent driven my car in a while but i have both pumps on all the time running by the aem for the 2nd pump. i have -8 feed and -6 return , and a aeromotive fpr, my fuel pressures have always been normal even with both pumps running full time. could i have had this fitting on backwards is that why i cant pick fuel up from 1/4.. i have run out fuel a bunch of times i reversed the y fitting on the pumps hopefully it fixes it. what you guys think sorry for the run ons it is late here in MD and i have been working since 10 am

You will need a relay and some wire. You can buy a rewire kit from stm that will have the relay, pigtail and all wiring if you are inexperienced.

pin 30 and 86 =12v
pin 87 =fuel pump +
pin 85 =signal from aem ems (must use a low side output)
pin 87a =doesn't get use
ground the fuel pump and you are done with the wiring.

now open the software go to options/configure outputs then set the LS output you use for the relay to:
Basic activation=click active
functions=click active and click on fuel pump
then set the condition you would like pump to come on IE what pressure you want it activated most hobb switches (like buschur uses) come on around 10 psi, so you will want to set your LS funtion to come on at 10psi or "at least" if I remember correctly. This is how I wired mine and how I set it up in my aem.

You will need to look up in the aem instructions to see what LS you have available before you cut into your harness.

The walbro pump shouldn't have to be modified until the pump is needing to supply at above 70psi fuel pressure. I didn't mod mine until I was pushing 40psi on my 6262.

Take your base fuel pressure plus your maximum boost psi and you have your fuel pressure at the pump.

Example:
base at 42 psi + maximum boost is 30psi= 72 psi at the pump. In all reality you would probably be fine without modifying the pump at that boost level. Any higher and it probably wouldn't be able to be tuned around without stopping the pump from relieving fuel pressure. via the pressure relief mod.

Anyone have a great solution to fix the fuel from leaking out of the JB welded wire pass through?

I'm tired of this BS.

I need at least 6 wires through the bulkhead.

I'm looking at motorsports connectors...only problem is they're not rated for 30 amps.

This is a bandaid fix, but you could sand the area around the JB weld, and use liquid epoxy. It would seal as long as the epoxy is not petroleum soluble and the wires don't flex.

We've got some serious Epoxy at work... I'd just rather have a REAL solution.

IMO they need to remake the top hat with a real connector.
