ShepTrans or Team RIP
I noticed that most of the people who recommended TRE wrote a paragraph about their experience, while many of the folks who recommend the other shops just say "XXX shop FTW!"
It would be interesting to see how many shops doing EVO drivetrain work have both a Magnaflux and a shot peen machine. . .
I know of one!!

Over 70k now on the 03'. I can't remember when I went with the TRE tranny/x-fer. I think it was about 50k ago though. Very good stuff. I went with Jon because he took the time to explain all my options, needs vs. wants (ended up going full tilt though), and was the most informative Vendor I talked to on the subject at the time. He made me feel like he was privileged to have my work, and not the other way around. I have no regrets, and feel that my money was well spent. Having come from an aerospace manufacturing background, it was nice to talk to someone who had the knowledge and tooling to rework the finer points of the assembly.
Obviously I've not used anyone else, however, anyone who knows how, and has the ability to do the machining should serve you just fine.
