Buschur Coil On Plug ignition system!

Just got done installing this awesome unit. System is exactly how Buschur describes it...plug and play To make the install have that clean appearance I opted to purchase the aluminum mini battery tray they offer to mount the box onto..it worked out perfectly. The motor's getting built with full BR parts, turbo upgrade, AEM standalone, etc....so we opted to install the COP now with the stock ecu and its current flash to rule out the possibility of it being an issue later on. It's working great...some partial throttle hesitation, but I think we'll try opening the gap up some more tomorrow (Denso IKH24's set at .025 now)..but WOT pulls are clean as ever. I opted for the Buschur COP system because it is a tried and proven unit..simply the best.

How bad is the part throttle hesitation?
I am thinking about running this on the stock ECU but I don't want to deal with it feeling funny during normal driving

Thank you for the post. They are always much appreciated! Im glad you're happy with your purchase.

There shouldnt be any throttle hesitation though. It should be nice and clean I would try the plug gap like you mentioned. What are they set to now? Just curious.....

Dudical.... the system works great on stock ECU cars. No worries at all.

I still cannot figure out where the rumor started about not working on stock ecu cars.. it 100% works on stock ecu cars and if i am not mistaken it is clearly stated on BR site.. I have been running that COP on my car for over a year w/o 1 single issue. I am on AEM but i have installed them on stock ECU cars w/o issue..

OP, Nice writeup by the way.. Thanks!!

Mike i am pretty sure that at some point Buschur's site didnt say that it can be used on the stock ecu. Maybe they changed it lately...

I think even on older threads about the Buschur COP even David said that he wasnt sure how the COP system works on the stock ecu...

I guess since people tried it on stock ecus with no issues then they changed it...

Have to say thought... all these MEGA power cars have it and all of them work perfectly!!! thats the best proof and advertisment... !!!

We have one on our car and it works Great!! Cant complain one bit. Before doing this we ran the okadas Witch were terrible and the HKS unit witch wasnt to bad. The Hks unit was no good to us after about 30 psi. This kit works very well and has not given us any problems yet!

Thanks
Buschur

Thanks for the comments, and exactly as Kouzman stated the majority of the big dogs run Buschur's COP..I mean in the sport compact issue with 5 Evo's in the 900whp range..under ignition for each one it says "Buschur Racing COP Ignition." So do it once, do it right Anyhow...we went ahead and opened the gap from .025 to .030 and the partial throttle misfires are now obsolete. Did a pull @ 27psi, where with the stock ignition @ .023 it was breaking up, and the car revved out smoother than mayonnaise on bread
