How the hell did you blow your turbo??? We were the track two weeks ago and your turbo was fine. What was the cause of your turbo troubles??? Well lets see what the AMS 850R can do. Good luck.

Steve is sending in his turbo to us so we can have precision take a look at it.

You can read all about the back story on the GT850R Here as there is a lot of confusion on what it is or how it got named etc.

Steve, I am glad I could help. Best of luck. Stay away from Swain coating. we have had bad luck with it... it can work on a driving around car but on every car we have abused it has failed.

Keep me posted.

Eric

Day 2 of my install was very slow as I found very tight to work theres hardly no room so It went slow today but good progress , I think by tomorrow she will be running.

Had to position the turbo and all the oil lines to make sure everything was in place.

Looks can be dangerous

It's very tight fitting there I feel like I might need a slim radiator.

Ouch...thanks for the pics....enjoy working on the car....cuz even though it's a bunch of time and sweat you can always sit back after and be happy you did the work

I'm kinda lik Big Al i dread having to work on my car but love every minute of it

When do you plan to have it re-tuned?

Where do you recommend we send our parts for coating. And do we get the inside coated as well or just the outside.

honestly, I don't!

we have tried so many coating companies and it seems even the ones that are rated for high heat just cant take the header configuration on an EVO or more specifically a turbo'd car.

We thought for sure swain would be the way to go but sure enough about 2 months into its life, it started to bubble and flake.

lol, if you find one let me know. we can send them a LOT of headers.

Eric
