evo viii compresson housing swap

evo viii compresson housing swap

hey,

i have a question.im swaping the compression housing off a IX into my VIII.My car has the 10.5 HS,so i just want to swap the compression housing

do i have to remove the whole turbo to swap the housing?or will i be able to change them with the turbo in the car?THANKS!

Dont think its possible w/out machining the whole comp housing side. Its not a bolt on deal if thats what you mean? I thought about this awhile ago.

I think it needs to be balanced, it's not the same as replacing your HS.

No balanceing would be required your not changing the compressor wheel just the cover. However I dont belive the ix cover fits right on the viii chra.

The compressor cover will not fit. Totaly different sizes on where the snap ring holds the cover to the CHRA.
