Where's the best place for oil temp sensor?

Where's the best place for oil temp sensor?

Just bought an Apex Oil Meter with an electronic oil temp sensor, so now I want to know where to fit the moufou. Where should the sensor be fitted? In the sump or somewhere else?

Personally I would fit it in the sump, normally most oil temp kits supply a probe and an adapter which screws into the sump in place of the sump plug. If not just take the sump off, drill a hole in an appropriate place and weld a nut on the inside with the same thread as the one on the temp probe.
