Mike Reichen thru the 200 mph barrier
Definitely good stuff there! Mike does deserve the credit and respect as he puts in all the work to get the car where it is. Also a big congrats to him and everyone involved with this car. Its always cool so see the little ol' Evo gettin down to business wether it be in the mile or the 1/4 mile. Stay safe out there!
We'll see you guys in a couple weeks Mike!

Here is the 215 mph video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3TPVe...eature=related
Also keep in mind that Mike's EVO has full glass, steel, dash, and door pannels. On his 210 mph pass in Maxton he was off the gas for over 3 seconds at over 180 mph. This was due to a very heavy crosswind tossing around the EVO like a rag doll. Last, but not least, on that pass he had another 15 psi of boost left, and a larger set of cams ready to go.

Good effort, 215 mph is crazy. I would think the Evo 2 has some pretty poor aerodynamics stock, so a lot of effort must have gone into the small details, even though the body looks fairly stock. I am surprised that it uses an Evo 3 wing. Did you guys find that there was no appreciable improvement going with something custom?

So would 220mph be out of the question? Does he have the gearing for that? Sounds like he has the power for sure!
I figured as much lol^^^ Mike is a badass...can't beat the accnet either. He SOUNDS like a no none sense individual. My type of guy. Well good luck fellas. There are supras and vipers waiting to be slapped around again!
were expacting around 224 give or take a mile an hour or two do to the fact that this a brick with a spoiler also rpm range over 10k in fifth takes its toll on the valve train car never run on full power level say what u want 1000hp on 2.0l motor for 18 seconds or so takes this engine to its limits

Good to see Mike is doing well. Adam I will be calling soon as my quartermaster is on the way out I think...
crcain- as far as I know Norris is the only other evo too go over 200 mph, there is a video of it on u-tube, the top speed competitions over there are run from a roll and you have 1.3 miles to get your best speed.
Adam you may be expecting only 224 mph but with your help I am expecting to go quite a bit faster.
