Mike Reichen thru the 200 mph barrier

This thread https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/sh...d.php?t=358078 was buried in the Evo 1-9 General section where in my opinion it did not get the respect earned. EvoM’s own Ron Shearer fabricator extraordinaire had a major role in the construction of this car along with owner Mike Reichen and DEVO Tuning. 200+ mph is nothing but awesome. We often miss the details in what it takes to get something like this done engineering and fabrication wise, both Mike and Ron have done an amazing job with the packaging in the engine compartment and drive train. Best of luck at the next two meets. All involved have made many Evo owners proud by your achievement. Indy

Reichen is doing **** i would have said could not be done in an EVO.. I have been doing landspeed racing up at maxton with my bikes for a few years and for an Evo like Mike's to go 215mph that is really a serious accomplishment!!!

Yes, agreed, very freaking impressive. Some of the behind the scene testing that has been done I find as cool as the actual running of the car.

Good luck to these guys on their efforts to keep going even faster.

Thanks for the post Indy! Mike has a become a pretty good friend to me over the last few years and I've had a lot of fun with him and the little piece of the pie that I've helped with his car. He's a go getter, straight up, hot headed, and honest dude who just wants to go faster than what should be possible and I have a lot of respect for that. Finding those traits in someone is a rare combination these days that I wish more people had. I'm fortunate enough to be surrounded by those types in my personal life and business associates.

I'm definitely looking forward in seeing what the remainder of the season has in store for Mike and his car. It should be interesting.

I ‘m constantly asked how do you get sponsored. Well this is about the best example yet. Do something big, and this my friends is big. Mike and Ron, I spoke with a couple of companies about your effort they will let me know next week if their interested. Penske said "effort = results" and your group have come thru on that end so now it’s time for your rewards. I will do my best to secure some help for your project. Indy
