Samco Induction pipe ?'s

If I install a Samco induction pipe on my IX, will I NEED a tune? Will the pipe work with the OEM airbox?

I don't see why it wouldn't work with the stock airbox. If you choose to get an open air filter element(HKS or a cone filter) it is usually a good idea to get a tune. You can drive without a tune but with a tune you will get the most out of the intake.

It IS supposed to fit the stock airbox. Awhile back, I e-mailed Samco and asked them.

I fitted mine and did not see any significant difference in my A/Rs so doubt you would need a tune its about as minor a mod as you can get. I have mine with an HKS mesh filter so cant say if it will work with the stock airbox but I had the stock intake on mine at first and this more or less fit back the exact same way so I'm almost positive it will work.

It will fit just fine to the stock box as it is the same shape as the stock pipe. Also you will not need tuning as 05 and 06 years never get scaled while tuning.
