Evo Engine Building Books?

What books would you recommend that would teach me how to build an Evo engine by selecting the components and giving me the step by step instructions on how to assemble and install it?

I have an engineering background and am not afraid of doing math or learning complex concepts; my degree's not in mechanical engineering, though.

Better yet, are there shops out there that would be able to show and teach me how to do this?

Thanks!

brother,,, i understand you seem to be hungry to learn how to build an engine,,, however if i was you i leave this to the people who do this every day,, it be nice to be able to build your own wouldnt it be,,, but Buschur, AMS, Jckson machineshop, and many of your local shops do 2-3 of these buids daily and some of them been doing it for over 20 yrs,,, sometimes is worth it spending 400 bucks for a build with you supplying parts though

Thanks for the tip - I'm not saying they wouldn't do a better job (they most certainly would - they're the pros).

I'm saying it would be MUCH more fun for me to do it by myself.
