20 HP Loss? Help!
Hi guys,
Heres the story - I have a 03 Evo with 105K on it. Mods wise we are talking about Buschur stage 2 car. Anyway I had 3 probs in a row - my injectors were fouling, and mitsu changed out my plugs, wires & coilpacks. Got the car back and they decided to wipe out my flash (dicks) so the car still ran like crap. Had car reflashed - loss about 20 HP/TQ. Later I find the egr hose popped off (might have been off during tuning) b/c I got a code shortly after. Car feels better but still short on hp from a$$ dyno. Is she just getting on in age or is she foulded up from egr crap or what? Thoughts?

Car orginally tuned by Al (dynoflash) at Pruven - made like 320 ish. Then I tuned at ICS last week by Al again made like 300ish. Also though he turned boost up from 22 to 24 and I still lost power....
there is your problem. Take it to Sean, if you dont want to see your car break apart like mine after the tune from "the Well-Known Tuner Al"

Lol, yea I've heard that. I've never had any problem with the guy a quite honestly my flash was on the car for almost 5 years b4 Mitsu got their hands on it! He did the right thing in regards to the retune and quite honestly I don't think my issues are due to that.

If I were in your shoes, I'd do two things: 1. start logging your car, maybe the ECU is pulling timing on you (with 24 psi on an Evo 8, it wouldn't surprise me) 2. Take it to a different tuner/shop to get a second opinion.

Different tune, day, month, year, dyno ... how can you expect the two numbers to compare?
