Bbk 75
Bbk 75
Hey guys sorry for not researching first couldn't find any answers.
well, i recently got a ams intake manifold. And i was wondering what Throttle Body I have to use in order to run the AMS intake manifold.
Does anyone know where i can get the BBK 75 MM TB? and what else would i need to get with it?
Thanks Everyone.

You would have to check with AMS as there are different flanges that are used depending on what throttle body you plan to use. If you already have the intake manifold you should be able to tell if it accepts the stock TB. If its flanged for a BBK, AMS sells the TB and any addition parts required.
Unless you really need the 75MM I would highly suggest using a bored 65MM stock throttle body for reliability.

If you are still in need of a 75mm TB you can check this one out.

I run this on my car and have had great success.

You can also use it with this:

one word of advice since I run the fftec as well. If you run methanol PLEASE I MEAN PLEASE do not run the IAC adapter. the way it is deviced it leaves the Stepper motor a straight shot to have methanol sit on it and burn out the IAC. Where the stock TB the IAC goes in at an angle. If you run meth just use the block off plate. Otherwise this is the only solution in a TB that has worked for me.
PS the throttle wheel they give you with it is to small. I used the Jackson Auto machine Throttle blade and I do not need to use a throttle stop or mod anything with my cable set up. There wheel binded. cheers!

yes got it from them directly. the wheel they gave me was to small in diameter and the placement of where the cable goes onto the wheel was to low. When you floor the cable it would hit the end of the TB before you would hit the factory throttle stop on the bottom of the gas pedal. The Jackson auto machine one works perfectly and does not do this. I tried out 4 diff TB's and wheel combinations till I finally got the perfect match.

What i/m are you running?
Maybe that's why as the manifold i run made by the guys at FFTEC has no problems and we have it on another 3-4 cars right now.
Do you still have that wheel sitting around.
If so i'm sure they would love to look at it to be sure it was just a one time problem.
I personally apologize on their behalf for the issues and have already linked them to this thread.

I am very happy to hear that you did find a combo that worked out!

Oh the product is sweet and in no means am I bashing it. But for other Manifolds like my Driven Innovations manifold or the AMS manifold the Jackson Auto machine wheel works out the best. The difference between yours and mine are the fact that the blade on the TB faces the front facia not the hood like ive seen on all the FFTEC pics posted. the reason they kept it facng the front is because the TB opens like stock and not perpendicular to stock(up and down, not left to right).

I knew you were by no means trying to bash the product.....i was just trying to get a better idea of the issue so that if it was a design flaw i could let them know to take care of it as i know the owner very well and understand that he is very meticulous about the products he puts out.
