I will just take the springs off the old clutch and add them to the new clutch. When we do clutch jobs around here we save all the clips and springs since you cant seem to by them outright.

Lucas - How do you actually add more washers to the spring clip.
Got any pics? My trans is out right now while I repair my Exedy HD, I have the old spring clip and the new one, can I combine them to make a better one?

FYI, the OEM and ACT wave washers and retaining clips appear to be nearly identical.

I had an ACT clutch on the car for 22k with no issues. Another one goes in next week.

I would hope you can tell what we are talking about when you have your pressure plate off. Sorry I dont have time to post pics. Its real easy to figure out once you are looking at the pressure plate.

I use 4 springs on mine and I shift at 9000+ rpm w/o lifting from the gas... so far so good.

Went to the track(1/8th mile) and Gez what?.........

I broke the clip again
! This time the throw out bearing was still in the fork! Now what should I do? Put more springs? lol I had 4 springs there already.

Why is this clip keep coming off?

BTW for those might asked my time... 7.4sec@96mph 1.7 60ft on 24psi boost pump gas.

be very careful when putting the trans back in. you don't wanna hit that clip with the input shaft.

96 is good...that's where I was on my first track visit on the 35R @ 30psi on 93 octane but I figured out that I was short shifting and eventually got 100mph in the 1/8th that day.
