I am thinking about fabing up a open dump tube.

I would like a little input from anyone that has ran both recirc and open dump setups.
How do you like it?

If you have a before and after dyno sheet, that would be great!

 

Well i only ran the stock turbo and now a buschur 3065 with an open dump tube...

this thing is L O U D !!!!! but i really like it!!!

Be warned thought.... Every time you step on it probably the poor guys next to you will have a heart attack from the noise... LOL

No dynos before and after... But i have read that an open tube can give more power due to less interuption of the exhaust gases... Also even the stock turbo EVOs who modified to open dump gained some power, thus i think my previous statement is valid...

Dumped is just very very loud, unless your car is not a daily driver or is an all out race car recirc it.

dump is VERY loud, the 35r w/ the open dump makes so much noise its retarded.

this is on a crappy cam. its VERY loud, cops will love u if they hear it

thats a red evo that im running with a full 3" TBE (no cat) so u can compare how much louder it is.

its kind of fun tho on the street when people turn around and look at u like "wtf is wrong with that thing"

 

i bought my ets kit with a recirulating kit. i decided to mod it to an open dump and i absolutely love the way it sounds.

 

It is very loud, however, its only loud when you are at 75% or more on the throttle which you are already seeking attention by gunning it. You won't hear it driving the car normally even under partial boost. I love how it sounds though!
