bad coil pack???
bad coil pack???
Okay here is what i got going on.
Friday car was running great like it as been. 1/4 tank of gas went to sunco and filled up with 93 like always. Started driving and my car started to pop and sounded like a misfire or just not fire at all. I though it was a bad tank of gas so put 104 octane boost in. still popped and a whitest blue smoke came out. I'm running shell 93 octane now and still getting the popping and even little more rumble when down shifting like its back firing which it never did before. My tuner said the bad gas could of cause the ecu to go into low octane mod which he made rich and could be the cause of it. I disconnect the battery and let it sit for like 10 minutes so it would rest back to normal. Well it still is poping . Oh ya let me add it only pops when its in boost from like 3500 to 7500 rpm range. The plugs are like a browish rushing color which is good . They are a stock heat range plug tho. bpr7eix. i order new ones that i'm dropping in tomorrow and keep my fingers crossed i'm just pushing the stock heat range one beyond there limit of 26psi. i dunno tomorrow i am putting my new plugs in and testing it then if not i'm using my buddies coil packs and wires that i knew work on to my car and see what happens. if anyone else can help that would be cool
