Clutch experience!

I'm looking for a new clutch and throw out bearing for my Evo IX, I really don't know much about clutches and what exactly I will need to buy to fully replace it. Anyway, from everyones experience here, whats a high performance clutch, been running on stock clutch for far to long and its starting to slip at 45k Links would be cool also! Thanks in advance.

+1^^ people need to know your plans... and since you went 45K mi with stock clutch it sounds like you are pretty stock... look at Exedy, ACT, and Fidanza 3.2 as mentioned above... either way, you need to figure what your future plans hold. and do not forget to purchase alignment tool and throwout bearing. OEM throwout will work... GL

I'm mostly a casual driver, I only have a few mods, I race like every other weekend for fun, just look for a high performance clutch, but nothing to extreme. If it engages with like a feathers weight on it, it might be uncomfortable to drive daily, but not sure haha.

You probably want an organic clutch considering you did 45k on the stocker, any performance clutch is pretty much going to be louder and more grabby. Cheaper direction - ACT, expensive direction - Exedy.

Check their options and find what suits you most, there are really good descriptions included with each clutch, so you should be able to match your application to one of them.

The most popular choice between Evo owners seems to be ACT 6 puck with streetlite / fidanza flywheel or an Exedy Twin HD.

Edit: Search is your friend. There's probably about 17.000 pages written about clutches on this site.

If your evo ix isn't a 6 speed trans i'd say get a Quartermaster Twin Disk from Devo Tuning. Great clutch easy to drive, little noise but great performance.
