hey im finally in the market for a new clutch..so im looking at the ACT HDSS clutch (ACTMB7-HDSS)

I'm mainly going to daily drive it,but take it to the track a couple times, both auto-x and 1/4,but mainly daily driving.I plan on going less than 350whp..will this clutch be ok?what about flywheels?Gruppe-S has a special.Clutch+flywheel for a good price.Anyone have any experience??THANK YOU!

Lots of threads on this. I'm personally going with the an ACT from TTP and they have a slightly heavy-er duty pressure plate they use to help with high RPM lockouts. Talk to Scott he's a great guy and will help you out.

If you're going through gruppe-s get the HDG6, it has a lot more torque handling capacity over the hdss, is a bit cheaper and isn't very hard as a dd at all. In fact its just a tiny bit stiffer then stock. I love mine!

clutch

Dude I put a post up about the same thing ! HA !! Im goin the route of the actmb7-hgd6 its like $650 with the lightweight flywheel. It will hold like 650ft lb of torque and its very driveable. my car is a daily driver and im goin with that one. I know that im looking for close to 400whp and the hdss will handle that easily but as we all know once I get there then I will want more ! So goin with the heavier duty clutch myself. Just in case a meth kit makes its way onto my car .

What's your price limit? If you can spare the cash, The Exedy twin (HD) is a proven clutch that if you decide to go above what you current power goals are will be right there with you. I absolutely have loved mine.

I just got my ACT Street Clutch/Streetlite flywheel installed about a week ago. It took some getting used to since it's more advanced than the stock clutch, but I absolutely love it now. I have no regrets and it feels awesome. I am 100% satisfied and very happy with it. I searched for the best prices and all. You might find it $10-$15 cheaper compared to lancershop at other places, but you cannot beat lancershop's reliability. I ordered the combo pack for $767.95+shipping. The total I paid was just under $785.00. I am loving it man!!!!
