I am i need of some help. my termostat siezed up and was stuck open.....easy enough to fix right. Well every thermostate i have gotten is to small...this is from a handful of parts vendors. I can not get one from mits for two days. why do none of the termos fit? i have the part number frrom the dealer...but no one can crossreference it. please help. sorry for abriviations....im using the browser on my phoneo

Just get a OEM thermostat. I have seen many problems with aftermarkets not opening at the correct temp, or not open all the way. Wait the two days and get the real deal. You can always drive your car around without the thermostat in for a short time, but your engine will not warm-up as quickly as normal, so you will have to idle it for longer. The thermostat is there to simply bring your engine to proper operating temp faster.

 

 

you can run with out one for a few day until you get it from the dealer
