Throttle body seals right? That's a lot of big drop for such a small leak. Did you test the whole system?

I did them a while back though, got mine from Mach V.

They're not that hard to replace, but if you do it yourself make sure to put the clamps on the coolant hoses on the exact same spot (mark on hose) as before, otherwise the hose is likely to leak and crack (it did for me). Not expensive (~$20) just annoying.

The leak is bad...the TB seals were leaking at 5psi....The most I could pressure up the system on my car was about 14 psi with my air hose. It was leaking like a ****. Thanks for the pointer Hawk

Milspec or Works - I tried the MachV and they didn't hold up very well for me.

I just purchased new ones from Milspec - PM him, the price is right

My Works seal should arrive today. The blown seals have wreaked havoc on my idle and I'm assuming are the cause of my recent P0171 CEL.

I think the seals have affected my idle as well. Sometimes it dies with the ac on when I let out of the clutch on decel at slow speeds. I bummped the timming to help this...it has worked so far. I hope the seals give me new found POWA ans smoothness

I JUST did mine last week. Yes the seals will cause a HUGE boost leak, they would leak at about 8psi on mine and killed my Idle as well.

I got mine from MachV.

Aby from MIL.Spec was waiting on a shipment last I heard.

Works has them but I couldnt ever get their site to work right for me.

They arent bad to replace just a big pain to put the new seals in place.

I dont know what the deal is during the evo 9 tb assembly process, but easily 8 out of 10 seals are cracked / split / leaking when i receive tb's in to be made into 65mm units It's also ONLY on the throttle cable side too

Here is MIL.SPEC's current pricing for our throttle shaft seals.

2 seals @ 15.99
2 seals + oem gasket $18.99
2 seals + 65mm gasket $21.99

Shipping & paypal are not included. Figure $1.35 for shipping & multiply your total by 1.03 = paypal amount.

We are still in the process of putting a formal notice together within the vendor forums for this sale.

Our seals are a metal cased seal, but has a much thicker lip than oem, taking the heat & pressure. The seal vendor claims +50 psi, but i havent tested the seals fitted within a 65mm tb @ high pressure yet on our jig. I do know that when i pressure tested my tb on my car, it took 35psi without issue

I plan to put together a video showing the leak pressure points & pressure values of all seals available....but my fulltime job & family slows me down from putting this together.

btw, you can order as many seals as you want

I just got my seals from Works. Is there a HOW-TO for changing these seals? I know it's probably not a big deal, but it's always nice to see some steps and pics before hand.

Why is it such a pain to put the new seals in?
